My Spyder3 has calibrated this computer at least a dozen times over the last 1.5 or two years and then suddenly it won't recognize the sensor. Deleting and reloading software not helping. Downloading and running a driver installation also of no help. I figure it is karma for stepping on too many ants as a kid......or something like that.....because what else would do this?? birdermanbirderman 1,051 posts Likes: 43 Joined Mar 2011 Location: London, UK | I had similar Issue when I installed on desktop with AMD processor and windows 8.1 - in my case the solution was simple as right clicking on the shortcut for the software and run in windows 7 compatibility mode and as administrator - seemed to be an issue that if you tried running the software without the sensor connected it got locked up in situation where it no longer gave me the option to register the software and didn't allow anything to proceed any further because the software wasn't activated ...
