Is there any way I can force the upload to resume? I've tried, pausing and resuming, forgetting the network, switching wifi on/off, restarting the modem, restarting the Mac, Booting in safe mode and PRAM resets - nothing has availed. Before, iCloud Photo Library is the exclusive feature on iOS devices like iPhone, iPad, etc. Recently, up update was made to make it possible to upload photos directly from Mac. To sync pictures from iPhone/iPad to iCloud can be easy by toggling on Photos option under iCloud on device. Fixing photos not uploading to iCloud isn’t a cut-and-dried process, though. There’s not a definitive answer to know for sure why your photos are not uploading to iCloud. It could be your iCloud run out of storage, or maybe poor internet connection or iCloud Photos was disabled. Go into → System Preferences → iCloud → Photos Options and uncheck iCloud Photo Library. Reboot if you want to be safe, though it shouldn’t be necessary. Launch Photos with ⌥ opt-click. Click Create New and name your new Photos Library. Go into Photos → Preferences → General and click Use as System Photo Library.

I've been trying to upload my photos to iCloud using the Photos app on my Macbook Pro.

It was all working well until I needed to pause it as I changed networks and now it's just stuck on Uploading: 6,723 items and has been for several hours...

Is there any way I can force the upload to resume?

Running Mac OS Sierra

iCloud storage: 50GB, Library size: 46GB
